Nai Taleem Workshop

At Gandhi Nidhi Chhatarpur, we are dedicated to promoting an experiential learning pedagogy inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. Our Nai Taleem workshop gathers educators from diverse backgrounds to re-learn and implement hands-on teaching methods. This immersive five-day camp equips teachers with practical techniques that emphasise experiential learning, aligning education with nature and natural practices.

Transforming Education Through Experiential Learning

The Nai Taleem workshop is designed to foster a deeper understanding of how hands-on learning can enhance student engagement and retention. By attracting over 30 teachers, we create a collaborative environment where educators can share insights and develop innovative teaching strategies.

Key Components of the Workshop

⦁ Hands-On Teaching Techniques: Participants learn methods that encourage active involvement and real-world application of knowledge.
⦁ Nature-Based Practices: Emphasising the importance of connecting education with the natural environment, fostering sustainability and ecological awareness.
⦁ Collaborative Learning: Teachers engage in group activities that promote teamwork and collective problem-solving.

Upholding the Gandhian Ethos

Mahatma Gandhi believed in an educational system that nurtures the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. His philosophy of Nai Taleem emphasises the integration of work and education, encouraging students to learn through practical experience rather than rote memorisation. Our workshop embodies these principles by equipping teachers with the tools to create a more holistic and meaningful learning experience for their students.

The Importance of Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is crucial for developing critical thinking, creativity, and social skills among students. By implementing hands-on methods, educators can help students connect theoretical concepts with practical applications, fostering a deeper understanding of their studies.

At Gandhi Nidhi Chhatarpur, our commitment to experiential learning reflects Mahatma Gandhi's vision for a transformative education system. Through our Nai Taleem workshop, we empower teachers to embrace innovative teaching practices that inspire and engage students. Together, we can honour Gandhi's legacy by cultivating an educational environment that promotes self-reliance, community engagement, and respect for nature, ultimately shaping compassionate leaders for tomorrow.
